Final Film Opening

Image
Finally, we made it to the last blog post. Eva and I are so excited to share our final film opening!  We worked so hard on this and it was very long process. We are very proud of ourselves but we glad it is over. There was a lot of learning done, from the decisions we had to make filming wise, to working on my expressions, it was very rewarding to be able to learn these fun little life skills.

Here is my last CCR! For this one I just made a video. I hope you enjoy!

CCR #3

Here is my 3rd CCR. Eva and I made a power point presentation and added little goofiness into it. We split this one up and both presented for the same amount of time.

Here is my First CCR! We decided to a podcast for this one.

Peer review Hailey (week 7)

Image
We wanted a few people to review our movie opening, and Hailey volunteered! She did not go into depth, but I still wanted to share hers. Hailey has watched Eva and me work on this project, and we have collaborated on ideas for each other's movies to make them better, so I really appreciate it. Anyway, here is her review.

Peer review Chris (week 7)

Image
Chris has always been brutally honest with us about everything throughout these eight weeks. So, of course, we had to get his opinion on our movie opening. Here is Chris's review!

Peer reflection Luca (week 7)

Eva and I finished editing our movie and wanted to hear what our peers had to say. So, here is Luca's review!

Editing sound (week 6)

Image
While editing the other parts of the movie Eva and I where discussing what type of music we wanted in our movie. Since the movie is sad we decided on melancholic classical. I started looking for songs that fit the movie. It took me a while but finally I found the perfect song. Since our main character is a teenager we wanted something that was classical but still fitting for a teenager and also our targeted audience are going to be teenagers to young adults, so in order to keep the audience entertained and the song to fit the movie we found a classical version of a Billie Elish song called Lovely. After checking with Eva to see if she agreed with me I sent it to her and we uploaded it into the movie.  Here is a picture of the scene we are using this song on.

Editing color (week 6)

Image
Eva and I were discussing what type of coloring and lighting we wanted throughout the movie. The opening is a very dark scene. Since the scene is depressing we lowered the exposure and made it look darker to give the audience the feeling of how Sara's mom felt while seeing her like that, but in scenes such as when Sara found the drugs we decided to brighten it a little more to show how she was happy about finding them.  I took a picture while we were editing the color. Here it is!

Editing production label (week 6)

Image
After I made the production label and the movie was recorded and put into Adobe Premier, we added in the production label. We decided we did not like the black parts around the label so we cropped it out and now it looks perfect! Then we faded it in and out so it could blend better into the opening scene of the movie. Also the production label helped our movie hit the two minute mark but we also made sure to not over film so we could have enough time to fit it in.  Here is a picture of Eva editing it in.

Movie Poster

Image
For the distribution of our movie Eva made a movie poster. The movie poster shows the audience how the movie is going to be. It had dark lighting and my face looks sad to show how it is going to be. Eva used Canva to edit the poster.
